Come join us from 19 – 25 September 2014 as we explore the fascinating and historical city of London in the United Kingdom.
The “Explore London 2014” workshop will inspire you to see the city with completely different eyes. We’ll be exploring along the banks of the River Thames; around the royal palaces and within the original Roman city of Londinium. We’ll be learning some of the history of London as we go.
Go beyond “Auto” mode as you join us on a fun and relaxed adventure while learning what the different modes on your camera are and when to use them. Take control of your camera and create images you can be proud of. It doesn’t matter what type of camera you have, we can teach you how to master it.
You’ll learn how to see differently. As US philosopher Henry David Thoreau once said, “It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see”. Learn to see what others don’t and start making images instead of taking photographs.
From seeing, to capturing to post-processing – you’ll be learning about street and travel photography ensuring you come away with images you’ll be proud to show family and friends. You’ll also learn basic editing and developing techniques using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.
We’ll all be staying together at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel (or similar) on the south bank of the Thames, only a short stroll from Westminster Bridge and Big Ben. We’ll be eating at local pubs and restaurants with all breakfasts and most dinners, plus one lunch included. Eat, drink and sleep photography while forming new friendships that can last a lifetime.
Workshop highlights include:
Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament) ~ Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben) ~ London Eye and South Bank ~ The Tower of London
Tower Bridge ~ Borough Market ~ Leadenhall Market ~ Chinatown ~ Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square ~ Thames River Lunch Cruise
We’re looking forward to meeting you in September!
